Sanctuary – Estuary House, Exeter

NCS were asked to install extra data cabling and additional floor boxes to the two floors of the building but also allow the business to continue whilst the additional works were undertaken.

NCS project managed the complete project with one of our project managers; he was based on site for the whole four-week duration of the project.

This entailed supervising the moving of staff and hardware around the site whilst the work was undertaken, it was agreed that half a floor would be sealed from the staff, and then all carpet tiles and false floor tiles were lifted to allow the additional cat5e cabling to be installed and at the same time additional three compartment floor boxes were added by NCS electricians.

When a section of the floor was completed the floor tiles were put back into place and then the carpet tiles were reinstated, all staff were re-sited onto the completed half of the floor during normal working hours without disrupting the day to day work on the site.

This operation was undertaken four times to enable NCS to install an additional two hundred data outlets over the two floors of the building.

All installed cabling was tested to ensure full category five e conformance and all electrical circuits were certified and test results were issued to the client.

This is a typical project undertaken by NCS and we have the competent staff to ensure that the client’s business disruption is kept to a minimum and the desired result is achieved.

NCS aim to give complete customer satisfaction and a first class service at all times.
